About Emily Griffin

I am a proud native Washingtonian with 23 years of experience working with couples, individuals, groups, and kids of all ages in multiple settings throughout the DC area.
Trauma, attachment, social & racial justice, LGBTQA+ family needs, couples & parenting, Perinatal Mood Disorders (including Postpartum Depression, Postpartum Anxiety, birth & feeding trauma), Neurodiversity (including ASD & ADHD), infant mental health and grief have been primary focuses of my post-graduate training. I take an integrative, empowering approach to facilitate meaningful healing and sustainable daily practices that help parents and their families. Intergenerational trauma healing has been a newer, fulfilling part of my offerings.
I am the proud mom of 5 multiracial and neurodiverse children ages 6-25 in a blended family.
I am happy to answer any questions you might have to help you find the right resource for you or your family, whether you use my services or not.

Commitment to Inclusive Practices & Anti-Racism

As a mental health professional, social worker, and mom- I believe it is my responsibility to practice ethical, justice-driven values through my clinical work in the pursuit of health equity for my clients, families, and our community. I hope to foster a welcoming, anti-oppressive, anti-racist, and LGBTQIA+ affirming environment for all incoming and current clients.
